The UMZINGISI SCHOOL OF SPORTING EXCELLENCE is a new venture in Port Elizabeth. Our focus is on the holistic development of young people through sport and to afford new opportunities to talented young sportsmen and women in historically disadvantaged areas.

We need to raise $3,000 before November 21st. Donations must come from 75 different people so any amount you can afford to give can make a huge difference to our cause.
 
 
 
We are committed to realizing our dream with a long-term vision that will use sport to transform the lives of talented young athletes from the township areas of PE. We will help them develop into strong adults and hope that they will play a part in shaping the future of sport in the new South Africa. While focusing on sporting development, Umzingisi prioritises the importance of creating well-rounded citizens with strong life skills. Graduates of the school will grow up to become role models and influential members of their communities.

UMZINGISI SCHOOL OF SPORTING EXCELLENCE is a non-profit organisation based in Port Elizabeth in the Eastern Cape. Our mission is to develop talented young sportsmen and women from historically disadvantaged communities and offer them the best possible coaching to realise their potential. Umzingisi is equally committed to nurturing its students into rounded members of the community through its life skills programme. We aim for 100% placement of graduating students either into higher sports academies, institutions of higher education, vocational training courses or full-time employment.

We believe that we can use sport as a vehicle to reach the next generation and create a better future for South Africa. Umzingisi is an organisation that relies on the involvement of people who share the same vision for the future and are willing to help generously with our cause. We are supported by high-level coaches and mentors from both South Africa and overseas who facilitate our programmes and we are seeking more investment from local organisations to allow our sustained growth to continue.
