7's Success

Expert coaching from Springbok 7’s Rugby Captain Mzwandile Stick clearly paid off as the Umzingisi Ithembelihle 7’s team won silverware at both the Muir 7’s tournament and the Atlantic 7’s tournament at Daniel Pienaar.

The side played incredibly well in both tournaments holding off the likes of Grey and Muir College to Win the Muir 7’s Cup trophy and beating Brandwag convincingly 28 – 7 to win the Plate trophy at the Atlantic event.

Coyi Banda, Umzingisi Ithembelihle captain who top scored in both tournaments said, “It’s brilliant to play against all of the top schools from the Municipality in one tournament and to win ahead of teams like Grey is an unbelievable feeling”.
