Rugby Stars Visit Umzingisi

Mzwandile Stick and De Wet Barry both supported Umzingisi teams recently by taking training sessions and giving some motivational talks to the kids at the Umzingisi School of Excellence in New Brighton and the Umzingisi After School Program in KwaZakhele. Mzwandile coached the Umzingisi Ithembelihle 1st teams 7’s Rugby squad for a period of two weeks in the build up to the two end of season 7’s tournaments at Muir College and Daniel Pienaar, sponsored by Atlantic. De Wet Barry visited the After School Program, interacting with the kids answering questions and speaking about his motivation to become a professional rugby player and what it feels like to play for the Springboks. Both rugby stars who are now based in Port Elizabeth committed their long term support for Umizingisi programs.
