Sporting Success and Life skills

All teams have enjoyed a number of successes on the field this year, with Rugby and Netball continuing their fine form from last year and Football beginning to catch up to the others. The Netball Team have remained unbeaten to date this season after nine games, winning important games such as the FNB sponsored Classic Clashes against Nzondilelo and earning and FNB sponsorship of R30 000. In Rugby the team have maintained a good record winning 6 games and losing two against top opposition (Grey 27-20 & DF Mahlerbe 7-5). As a result of their top performances this year both teams have been invited to the Westering Co-educational Schools Tournament at the end of June, where they will compete in a three day festival against top schools from all over the Eastern Cape. The Football Team have maintained steady improvement having won 8 from 11 games this year including getting to the Finals of the Coca-Cola regional tournament. Life skills All scholars have continued through the Umzingisi lifeskills and personal development program and are currently going through a motivational module, sponsored by Rio-tinto Alcan.
